I mean, look at how these models are trained—they essentially scrape the internet, commodifying artists' livelihoods without a whisper of consent. It’s morally bankrupt. INTERVIEWER: Granted, the ethical framework is currently lagging behind the tech. But isn't the burden on legislators to draw the line? DR VANCE: Oh, absolutely. They’re asleep at the wheel. But what I find most troubling is this pervasive illusion of authorship. The prompter fancies themselves a visionary, completely oblivious to the fact they're just pulling the lever on a highly sophisticated slot machine.
