Task prompt

Your class has attended a panel discussion about how local communities can reduce their environmental impact. You have made the notes below. Write an essay discussing two of the points and explain which should be given greater priority. Points raised: • improving cycling and walking routes • reducing household waste • saving energy in public buildings One speaker said: “Small local actions can have a larger effect when many people take part.” Write 220–260 words.
