Future continuous

Use the future continuous for activities that will be in progress at a future time or expected routine events.

When do we use it?

Form will be plus verb-ing and use it for neutral enquiries and future-in-progress meaning.

Use will be + verb-ing for an activity in progress around a future point.

• This time tomorrow, I will be flying.
• Will you be using the car tonight?

At B2, choose the form from the complete context: sequence, viewpoint, degree of certainty and clause structure all matter.

Common mistakes

• I will be fly tomorrow. → I will be flying tomorrow.
• Will you using the car? → Will you be using the car?
