Working from homePart 6

"Working from home" is a Cambridge C2 Proficiency Reading Part 6 practice exam (Open Cloze). This paper rewards close reading, inference and awareness of text organisation. Work under timed conditions when possible — the combined Reading and Use of English paper allows 90 minutes across Parts 1–7. After completing the exercise, use review mode to understand why each answer is correct and note any vocabulary or discourse patterns you missed.

I work from home three days a week, which gives me more control (27) my time. I used to spend nearly an hour travelling to the office, so I now have time (28) exercise before work. I keep my desk in a room (29) I use only for work. At lunchtime I go outside in spite (30) the weather. I have found (31) easier to concentrate since I created a clear routine. I still enjoy office days because I can talk (32) colleagues face to face. The change has become part of my normal routine, and I now notice the benefits more clearly than I did at the beginning. It has also encouraged me to plan ahead and make small practical improvements. The routine now feels normal, and I find it easier to plan each week.
