Engineers and communication
Engineers are often accused of being poor communicators, yet there are many reasons why engineers, in particular, should be and often are good communicators. After all, engineering calls (1) ________ enthusiasm and engineers often possess this (2) ________ quality in large quantities. Enthusiasm can be infectious, but to command the interest of readers, engineers must develop their other (3) ________ talents: clarity, observation and knowledge. Those engineers who are logical thinkers can usually write clearly, and the more clearly thoughts are (4) ________, the greater their potential value. In the same way, those who observe must take account of subtle differences for the observations they may (5) ________ as significant.
